Global Social Work and Social Development. Parnika has been providing mental health support to newcomers to Canada for three years. Parnika’s approach is trauma-informed, strength-based, culturally competent, and anti-oppression-focused. She particularly has experience supporting clients who have experienced trauma, and she especially has been focused on supporting youth, young adults, and families in the past. She has previously worked in schools and in the nonprofit / settlement sector in both the Untied States and in Canada.
