Biography:
As a member of the Lesbian Bisexual Gay Transgendered Plus community, and through his previous experience as an equity coordinator and teacher, he is committed to helping individuals move beyond social norms or judgements, and towards a greater connection to their authentic self. He has helped individuals with a variety of learning styles and unique neuroatypical presentations navigate social and educational systems to find life success and achievement. Furthermore, he has worked with individuals from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds in a way that honours their subjective experiences and values, working with First Nations communities, refugees, and individual male survivors of childhood sexual abuse and oppression.
Mr. Driscoll has experience as both a couple’s counsellor and an individual therapist. He has worked with individuals from early childhood to senior years. He believes in an integrated therapeutic approach and has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Processing of Trauma, Logotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic treatment interventions. He inherently believes in strength-based approaches that honour the unique values and perspectives of the individual and the power of the therapeutic relationship to help move individuals toward growth and insight. He equally believes, however, in the importance of concrete solution-focused goal planning and approaches, creating a fusion of both strategy-based and insight-driven work to create more life meaning and success. With over two decades of experience in the realm of education, healing and connecting with others, he is excited to work with you on your journey.
